Fallas is a traditional local celebration held annually in commemoration of Saint Joseph. Due to the pandemic it has been cancelled two years running. It is a massive celebration held in the city and across the region with music, fanfare, food and dancing in every town and barrio. It is an incredibly important cultural festival, and the culmination is a bonfire of huge oversized puppets and dolls. These dolls are commissioned by local associations, whose members perform at the celebration. The crowning glory are the ‘reinas falleras’.
Alongside local musicians playing live local music, we are proud to have a show of the local costume design and culture from our very own local fallas.
This will be accompanied by a selection of drinks, cocktails and wide selection of light bites.
